Former actor and part-time novelist Dwight G. Stackhouse’s debut effort ‘Mother’s Milk’, is a must-read. A factual account of Mr. Stackhouse’s fall into despair after the death of his beloved mother, this beautifully written novel with evoke so many emotions: shock, disbelief, anger, some resentment (if you are female), but also compassion and understanding.

It is impossible not to totally immerse oneself within the book’s chapters that you want to hold Mr. Brightmeyer (the author’s character) close to your heart and comfort him. I found myself moved to tears by the fragility of life portrayed through Mr. Brightmeyer’s eyes, but then, rejoicing with his redemption.
